Callie discovered shadows today. We were eating our lunch outside and she asked me what that thing was on her plate. I explained that it was her sippy cup shadow. She was very excited about this and for the rest of lunch showed me her hot dog shadow, her hand shadow, her grape shadow, her strawberry shadow...
We took a trip to Good Will today. I bought a doll house for the girls. I was cleaning it with a rag outside, but quickly switched to using an old toothbrush, worked way better. It looks really good. Good as in clean. I'm looking forward to remodeling their out-dated doll house. I see new tiny rugs, tiny pillows, tiny wall decor, tiny furniture...in the horizon.
We have really enjoyed this 70 degree weather. It makes me excited about Spring...not so much Summer, but I did buy an uber about of water toys 90% off at Albertsons last Fall, so BRING IT Summer. Summer also means we'll be adding a third child to our clan, which I am excited about. I think this third baby transition will be easier than the second. I was a very angry Mel last time. Mainly, because this go around, Nate won't either be sleeping or working, so I won't feel like a single parent. How do they do it? I'm so thankful for his work schedule now. I'm also very thankful that he doesn't always jump at every overtime or part time opportunity. He'd much rather hang out with his family than work all the time. That means worlds to me than a bigger pay check.
So now that we are having a boy, I feel like we need to repaint one of the bedrooms. Right now the two kid rooms are pink and purple. I'm thinking of changing the pink room...because it's VERY pink. So that's another project stewing in my brain.
Speaking of projects. Our garage. Not so much needing to reorganize, but it's in dire need of a clean. I feel like I need to post a sign on the garage door, "CAUTION!! ENTER AT YOUR OWN RISK". Or have people sign a form before entering saying they can't hold us liable of any personal damages. It would be easy to describe the garage in layers. The first layer consists of all the outdoor/indoor christmas decor. It's all stowed away in their tubs, but the tubs need to be put on the shelves. The second layer is...i don't know what the second layer is, because I can't see it, but I think it has something to do with Nate's green house, because I see a lot of plastic and posts that make for great tripping devices. The third layer, top layer, is an insane about of cardboard boxes. It's not in my daily schedule to tear down boxes, so what happens, is they just get thrown out in the garage, to be broken down later. Well, later turned into later and later and later. We have so many boxes out there including a big fruit tree box and a bunk bed box. Soooo, i really, should stop blogging and go work on breaking down some boxes. If I'm not back in an hour...I got eaten by the mysterious second layer.

"the jig is up"
"the jig is up" -- I like saying this when referring to the new baby, for two reasons. First, we've been keeping our pregnancy a secret. Of course family knew and close friends, but most of the people at our church and facebook world did not know. We were waiting to tell everyone till we had our first appointment with the midwife, and we were waiting to see the midwife till the new year, because of insurance reasons...so "the jig is up"... no more secrets, everyone can know! Secondly, "the jig is up," because we are having a BOY. The girls have dominated in our family, and they still will, but after nearly four years of ALL girl, we're going to venture out in the world of BOY...so "the jig is up" ladies :)
Round three. Twenty or 21 weeks (Everybody important has different dates) :) This will be one of two official pregnancy photos. Hopefully you'll see the next one in 20 or less weeks.

Quotes of 2011
Ellie hits me on the head with my grapefruit spoon.
Callie immediately says, "sister, you need to be nice to mommy," in a very stern voice.
Callie: is sister going to the doctor?
Nate: yes
Callie: ohhh...sister is going to the doctor and get hurt in the leg.
Ellie walks up the stairs, yelling, "Doggie, where are you? Doggie, what are you doing?" Doggie is her stuffed dog. Doggie was in her room. Doggie was sleeping.
Nate was being very sneaking opening up a chocolate bar (It was in the car at night, so Callie could not see him).
Callie: Daddy, i want some.
We bought milk shakes at braums.
I hand Callie's back to her and she immediately starts shaking it, saying, "Sister, you have to shake it."
Callie: mommy, i love you. *hug* "Can i have some milk?"
After I put a pony tail in callie's hair:
Callie: mommy, I want to go wake daddy up.
Me: no, daddy still needs to sleep.
Callie: but, I want to go show daddy my pony tail.
In the bathtub, Callie decided to lay on her back and slowly lower her head down into the water. The whole time she was covering her ears. When she was done she laughed and said, "mommy, I got water in my ear holes."
That's all for now :)
